Installation Guide for Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings for Water Transport:
1. When digging the trench, consider that the sand can be filled to the bottom of the pipe during backfilling to ensure uniform force. When digging the groove at the interface, try to leave space to ensure that the interface operation can fully use strength. Except for special circumstances, the trench should be straight and the bottom of the trench should be on the same plane. When digging the trench with a machine, a 20cm-30cm thick layer should be left at the bottom of the trench and not excavated temporarily, and it should be manually cleaned to the elevation.
2. Use a brush and a clean rag to clean the inside of the socket and the outer surface of the plug end, especially the location where the rubber sealing rubber ring is placed. There should be no foreign matter.
3. For DN80mm-300mm ductile iron pipes, pinch the rubber sealing ring into a heart shape and put it into the socket, so that the brake gasket of the rubber sealing ring is tightly embedded in the base, and evenly press the sealing ring until it is firmly in the socket. For ductile iron pipes above DN400mm, bend the sealing ring into an 8-shape, and press the two protrusions alternately to make it easier to insert it into the base. Please check whether the installation is correct.
4. Lubricate the inner surface of the rubber seal and the socket. The lubricant should be a non-toxic and tasteless alkaline lubricant (soap water can be used instead).
5. Insert the socket into the socket until it is coaxially in contact with the seal. It must be correctly straightened and coincide with the center axis of the pipe or pipe fitting to be connected. If the insertion resistance is too large when connecting the pipe, stop immediately, pull out the pipe, check the position of the rubber seal and the socket, find out the reason and then install it. The insertion depth should be between the two markings.
6. When the interface is installed, the offset angle can be adjusted according to the pipe diameter.
