Description
Installation guide for ductile iron pipes and fittings for water supply:
1. When excavating pipe trenches, it is necessary to consider filling the bottom of the pipe with sand during backfilling to ensure even stress distribution. When excavating grooves at the interface, try to leave space as much as possible to ensure that the interface operation can fully utilize force. Except in special circumstances, the trench should be straight and the bottom of the trench should be on the same plane. When digging trenches with machines, a layer of 20cm to 30cm thick should be left at the bottom of the trench and not excavated temporarily. It should be manually cleaned to the elevation.
2. Use a brush and clean cloth to clean the inside of the socket and the outer surface of the socket end, especially the position where the rubber sealing ring is placed, without any foreign objects.
3. For DN80mm-300mm ductile iron pipes, pinch the rubber sealing ring into a heart-shaped shape and place it in the socket, so that the brake gasket of the rubber sealing ring is tightly embedded in the base, and evenly press the sealing ring until it is stable in the socket. For ductile iron pipes with a diameter of over DN400mm, bend the sealing ring into an 8-shaped shape and take turns inserting it into the base at the two protrusions for easier insertion. Please check if the installation is correct.
4. Lubricate the inner surface and socket of the rubber seal ring, and use non-toxic and odorless alkaline lubricant (which can be replaced by soapy water) as the lubricant.
5. Insert the socket into the socket until it is in coaxial contact with the sealing ring, and it must be correctly straightened to coincide with the axis of the pipe or fitting to be connected. If excessive insertion resistance is found when connecting the pipe, stop immediately, pull out the pipe, check the position of the rubber seal ring and socket, and identify the cause before installation. The insertion depth should be between the two markings.
6. After the interface installation is completed, the offset angle can be adjusted according to the pipe diameter.
